“After 10 years working in TV/media in London, I realised I wanted a complete change in direction to focus on something more creative and personal. I started taking evening classes in jewellery making, having always been passionate about jewellery.

Eventually I left my job at the BBC to return to the South West, and the sea, and study jewellery design/making full-time at Plymouth College of Art & Design, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 2004”

Sophy is self-employed as a designer/maker, supplying a selection of contemporary jewellery outlets around the UK, including ec one, London; Kath Libbert, Saltsmill, nr Bradford; Oi Jewellery, London; Jeremy Hoye, Brighton; and Gill Wing, London; as well as producing numerous individual private commissions.
